DIY Natural Deodorant

This is my claim to fame!

How many of us are sick and tired of hearing literally everything around is is toxic, harmful, and just plain bad? (Envisioning the Means Girls scene “all who have been personally victimized by Regina George raise their hand” moment)

One of the very first changes I made was switching to DIY natural deodorant. I was quite hesitant for a while- I can get that stress perspiration and it is off putting to say the least. Not to mention, wearing deodorant is one of the first things I remember learning about personal hygiene and it just felt like something all natural wouldn’t work- which really speaks volumes to the society we live in. We are trained to think we NEED strong chemicals in order for something to work. How terrible is this mentality?!

I had also tried a number of top performing deodorants and had finally landed on one that was decent. I say decent because it still wasn’t the best; and yes it stained, left streaks on my clothes.

My sister got quite into essential oils and got my mom into them to where they were (and still are) making their own skincare, mouthwash, toothpaste, cleaning products, you name it.

So finally I decided to dip my feet in and try the deodorant.

First, it is so insanely easy to make; you likely have all ingredients already at home, if you don’t, buying them is inexpensive and will last you for a very long time. The measurements I will give you for your batch of DIY deodorant will last you easily over a month; on average this measurement is good for about 2 months between my mom and I. And my favorite part, other than it is all natural, IT DOES NOT STAIN YOUR CLOTHES and it really works!

There are tons of recipes out there for DIY natural deodorant, this one is my favorite because it’s so simple and works for me.

    1. I was wondering about those! I really have no complaints on this recipe, especially in comparison to any store bought brand. And I love that it does not stain or streak my clothes. Let me know how you like it!
